Meet the candle maker
My name is Erinna and I am a self-taught candle maker. Perfecting the art through trial and error, I am extremely proud of the final product. I spent many years writing fiction with some success, and I like to bring a bit of storytelling to my candle work. Brighton is home of over twenty years and each of our modern jar candles is inspired by the sights and smells of my adopted city, from donuts on Brighton Pier to wild berries in Stanmer Woods, pink lemonade in the Laines to freshly baked bread in Hove. All are carefully curated and mixed by hand at the perfect temperature. My workshop is a tiny room in the family home near Preston Park.

When I’m not creating fabulous jar candles, I am searching for exquisite vintage tea and coffee cups to use in our special collection of unique refillable candles, all of which have their own story. I’m a regular presence at car boot sales and antique markets around this country and in France. In between starting a new business, I am mum to two and Abbie, the best rescue dog in the world. The whole family participates in Broken Pier Candles, my husband, Rob, and my sons take the photographs for the labels and help out on market days. Abbie is our wet dog cover star, companion in chief and workshop protector.
